Reflections on invisibility

I’m pleased to have a new short story in Whether 6: the Invisibility issue.

My story, “Finisterre,” takes as one of its guiding voices Colette Bryce’s lovely poem of the same name, from the collection Self-Portrait in the Dark:

The great lamp sleeps my heart

my heart is contracting

after light. Aloneness

is the word I was looking for.

Also in this edition is a simply wonderful piece by Annalee Giesbrecht on humanity and history in Sarajevo,  a new poem from Jason Freure and more very good things.

Whether magazine is “a non-partisan forum where writers and artists can engage with culture, art, politics, philosophy, science, and theology without privileging rigour over beauty or insight over wit.”
