Plautdietsch, Twitter and Bill Murray

I interviewed the delightful Nathan Dueck for the Town Crier this week. Dueck’s work is erudite, funny, restless and… odd. We talked about his current and past projects, including his experiments with Mennonite Low German and his love of Bill Murray.

Dueck:

Two years ago I published a chapbook that tried to make Tweets into stanzas. In @BillMurrayinPurgatorio, I try to retell Dante’s Purgatorio with tweets that describe scenes from Bill Murray movies. Murray appears in the Virgil role, guiding @DanteAlighieri through the purgatory of watching Meatballs through Rushmore.

Weird stuff, and addictive. Read the interview here.
